I own this drill and love it; especially since it came with two batteries; my favorite nephew has fallen in love with it; is it still available or what is something comparable.

Thanks

The Makita site lists that product. Amazon offers it. Google with that part number, and many retailers offer it -- Ace, Home Depot, and on.

It's still available from different vendors but the price for new is pretty steep ............ around $200 or so. Fwiw Tyler Tool has a recon version for $130. If you are going spend $200+ I'd be looking at Makita's 18v lithium ion line- you'll get a drill every bit as powerful but much lighter and more compact for less than $200. For about $250 you can get a drill and a impact driver. For driving screws I wouldn't be without an impact driver. I have the 14.4v version of your drill along with the impact driver and they have been great tools but after spending some time with the 18v lithium ion I think that is the way to go.
