We use Corsiva as one of our main fonts. In Microsoft Word Corsiva has a bold option, but when we use it in Corel the bold option is gone. Any ideas?

It could be that a bold variation (font) is not part of the typeface and Word is "faking" it. What type of typeface is it? postscript? truetype? opentype? If there is a bold variation, and it is a separate file, that file could be corrupted and Word is more forgiving. I would try reinstalling the typeface from the original source if you can.
Cheers,

I have the opentype version. Thanks for your help.

If all else fails try an outline the same color as the fill.

I looked at Corsiva and it does not appear to have a true bold variation (font) so Word is "faking" it. Try this downloadable truetype version and see if Corel can apply bold to it.

No it can't do bold still. Oh well outlines will work I suppose.
