My better half has asked for a small table for our entry area, and I spent the weekend scouring old copies of FWW and a plethora of other woodworking mags, but still haven't found a design I like. Help!

Here are some of her guidelines:

NOT Federal style (too formal).

NOT Mission style (too informal)

NOT Shaker style (too plain)

Maybe Queen Anne legs . . .

Maybe cherry with holly stringing . . .

Anybody know of a book with designs that might help here???

What about a nice drop leaf? Maybe a round drop leaf with the back leaf down and the front up? You could do either a pedistal or legs. :cool:
