I glued up some wide cherry (2") edging around a black laminated mdf shelf. I can scrape off most of the glue (Titebond II), but there's always some left. Is it best to use a hand scraper, or try to carefully sand without screwing up the laminate?

A hand scraper will work well. Next time though let the edging setup for an hour and then scrape the glue off. The glue will have setup some but will still be pliable and very easy to clean up.

Most of it did come off that way. I think the problem areas were from me doing a final "Feel" of the underside as I was clamping. That wiped the glue into the wood. On one shelf I tried to lift the assembly up and wipe it down with water, which I think helped, but was a hassle and I still couldn't get around the clamps anyway.
