I did some of my first cutting boards in the past few days, they turned out really nice.

What other items do you all make for Christmas gifts that are fairly quick and easy?

Popular this year have been bird house ornaments (really ornaments in general), boxes, servings trays, letter openers/spreaders and spurtles (see Steve Schlumpf), and pens. I may have missed a few.

Do a thread search and you will see tons. Creekers are crankin' em out!

Travis, in the past I've made little boxes that my wife filled with her cookies and candy. It was fun for both of us that way.

check out the wood whisperer he made some mantle clocks and a magazine rack on his podcasts. I made 4 of the mantle clocks took about 4 hours to do. I did not do the splines on the corners. I just used watco danish oil to finish them. You can buy the clock movements at woodcraft they are 11 dollars a pop.
