Well, I can finally take one off my to-do list. I've been watching the fantastic videos by Larry Marley (www.marleyturned.com) and wanted to make some Christmas ornaments. I don't have a table saw, and I do a little carving, so I decided to make the bell. This one is about 5" tall, bell body made of walnut, the leaves from spalted maple, and the handle from maple. I think the spalted maple helps the leaves look more like leaves. It is really fun to make. Thanks Larry for the great videos!

Great looking bell Steven. I really like the contrasting woods. Great job.

That is a real nice job!
I was just watching that video two days ago. Been wanting to try that. I don't have the junks of wood, so thinking about laminating some together. Afraid it wouldn't look as nice, but for practice it would be OK.
