I'm experimenting (playing around) with urea-modified hot hide glue for a longer open time. But how do I measure that? I would like to know what 5%, 10%, and 15% urea addition gives me.
Also, does the gram strength of the hide glue factor into the open time? For instance, would the open time for 15% urea added to 192 gram strength be any different than 15% urea added to 251 or 315 gram strength?
