I have been using heavy duty locking casters on my shop cabinets and was wanting to build a base for my Delta 14" bandsaw but wasn't sure how I would get that beast up on the base by myself.
While perusing the Woodcraft catalog I came across the Retracting Casters for Contractor Style Saws #141550
http://www.woodcraft.com/product.aspx?ProductID=141550&FamilyID=3703
According to WC customer service these casters are rated for 150 lbs each for a total rating of 600 lbs.
They are easy to install just by drilling four holes in each leg and attaching with the included hardware.
The casters are easy to operate and raise the saw about 1/2" off the floor.
