I am going to spray my kitchen cabinents
Maple with clear finish.
Looking to purchase some Target Coatings USL - have never used it.

Recomended Suggested finish - Satin?

How long will this stuff store (good sale right now and would hate to run out)? With shipping it is cheaper than Minwax polycrylic (which is what I was going to use but...) and as I have been reading the Target Coatings USL is a much-much better product.

And....
How much should I buy for basic kitchen (small) 4 base cabinets and 5 uppers.?

USL keeps reasonably well in my experience and with the current sale price, it's very attractively priced. And yes, it's absolutely a better product than the Polycrylic in my experience and opinion.

You may be fine with one gallon for those cabinets, but it's dependent on your spray technique, etc. So were it me, I'd buy two gallons. In fact, I'm about to order some for myself at the sale price, even though I don't have a current project.

I generally buy satin sheen. I'll occasionally buy gloss for a specific thing, but that's usually a quart since I use it minimally. "Satin" has more than enough sheen for my liking. That's what's on my kitchen cabinets, as a matter of fact.

How many coats is recommended - 3 seems to be the standard.
Is spraying applying a heavier coat compaired to brushing?

I generally use one coat of dewaxed shellac and two coats of USL.

When in doubt buy 5 gallons and build some other stuff.
