I've had one for a couple years and like it. When you have a dull bit that needs sharpened, it's nice to grab the Dr. and be done. It works as advertised and I'm glad I have one. Some folks can sharpen by hand, but for the rest of us the Drill Dr. is a nice solution.

CheersRob, if you're not very good at hand sharpening the DD will do the job. I have been hand sharpening for a long time but the small ones were becoming difficult for me to see anymore. LOML got me the 750 for x-mas and I have been happy with it - it's a little tedious, but it works.

Rob,
If you've done it by hand, and do it well, you'll hate the DD. If you're like me and never learned, it works great! There is still some finesse to learn with the DD, but once mastered (usually when you first get one and have to sharpen the drawer full of dull bits) it becomes second nature.

PS - I'm told anything less than the 500 model is a waste. Just what I've heard.
