thanks for the tutorial bob (soory if I spelt your name wrong-- and thanks to everyone for the coaching feedback----have been busy trying to get things done for christmas---If I get a chance I will post more pics of various gifts---you'll probably get sick of my bad pics and basic turnings but if your like me I realy enjoy seeing the pics no matter how bad or good.

John - those are some good looking pepper mills! What woods did you use? What are the sizes? Finish? Nice work!

I love the way the grain turned out. You have been very busy at the lathe I see. I don't know how to turn yet but someday I will. Nevertheless, you turners amaze me and I watch your threads just as much as the flatwork folks.

they are just under 10 inches tall---used walnut (to match her cabnets) and ash---laminated and then turned off center---the usual laquer finish (it just seem alot more forgiving than poly and I can completet he finich in a few hours)
