What do you think of them vs. a vertical.

Specifically MLCS's

I made this one a few years ago, works great and was cheap to build. There are many operations that are easier and in my opinion safer to make on a vertical table such as mortising and such.

I had a special horizontal table made several years ago to use with longer router bits and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I have one of the baby stockfeeders mounted on the table and use it for a lot of molding work.

In my opinion, a horizontal table is in addition to a regular router table as opposed to a replacement for a normal router table.

I agree with Burt...horizontal is nice, but it's more of a specialty setup.
