Bandsaw Blade Set

I took several blades into my local sharpening shop today. They rejected four of them, claiming there was no set left in the blades. Is there no way that set can be put back in? Anyone else ever had this experience?

Hi Dan, once you've sharpened a blade a few times, there isn't much tooth left.

To get the tooth height back, you have grind the gullets deeper.

Probably too much expense, or not technically feasible for the blades in question.....Rod.

I've generally considered band saw blades to be disposables. I'd only consider sharpening my Lenox TriMaster. Otherwise, I just put a new blade on the machine.
