Hi to all,
This is my first box using Tiger Maple with some Redheart splines and Spalted Maple handle. Finish is lacquer. Still learning to use spray can lacquer.

Nice job, Chris.
I especially like the handle! Are there separate areas in the box itself or just the one?

Very neat, Chris! Great figure on the wood, simple design and oh, THAT handle is really sharp! :D Neat idea! :)

Chris that is definately a keeper - course I'm kinda partial to figured/spalted maple & dark accent wood projects. The handle sets the whole thing off very nicely - excellant job!

I love that handle. Any chance we could get some construction details (on the handle)?

Very nice,
How about a pic of the inside ????
Keep up the improvement, and you'll be one of the best

Thanks for the comments:
Bob---No separate areas in the box, just one.
Lars---I first put the groove in the blank for the handle on the tablesaw. The other shapes on both pieces of the handle were drawn free-hand and rough cut on the scroll saw, then smoothed with a Porta Cable spindle sander. Hope this helps.
Mark---Don't have a pic of the inside, but it is one space. The lid sits in a rabbit which has a 45degree chamfer on the lower part of the rabbit. Thanks for the encouragement.
