Just an ordinary segmented pecan teardrop HF, with a little spalting and some worm holes. About 6-1/2" x 15" tall, 1/4" wall tk. The bottom is a disc of 1/4" thick acrylic plastic, loosely captured in a groove in the bottom ring.

Comments/critiques welcome. Thanks for looking.

Looks really good Richard! That's quite the showpiece! Very nice form and finish! Love the color variations in the wood! Also really like the size! Seriously - very nice work!

Richard, nice piece of work. The use of a clear disc in the floating base is definitely different.

There is nothing ordinary about that piece, yes the segmentation is muted, but the form (size), design, and craftmanship are superb.
Well done.

Thanks to all for your kind comments. Thought that the "floating" plastic bottom might add a note of interest. Also considered giving it a little flare-out at the top and bottom, but best for one with negligible artistic ability to stick with the k.i.s.s approach. Thanks again. I appreciate it.
