Good day

I've seen a few posts about Doweling Jigs but.....$400.....is not exactly an amateur budget

I would like to share with you my "Amatorski" method of doweling on router table.

As for the method and the settings, you can see them on this old post that I made just an example of doweled frame
http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=37602

Made of Oak (1¼ thick) and the "order" was "no finish"....well, I want to buy another tool, don't I....:)

Nice looking stooles Nissim.

Take a look at an old Stanley #59 doweling jig, I got mine for $30 off of eBay and would work better than a router table setup.

Thank you Ben

I took a look at the Stanly #59 and it reminds other jigs.

It's a personal choice...I prefer the router table because, no bushings, very accurate, the hole is made by router bit, and it's fast - no clamping - I just put the board, step on the pedal and in one second the hole is done...remove the spacer, "step on it again" and I finished.....unless I'm making a carcass with 4 or more dowels and than I use 3 or more spacers like for the carcass below...

Here is my homemade one that gave me very good results but still slow and not as accurate as the router table...

By the way, since Festool invented the Domino and I invented the "Rolling Mortise jig" for router table, I use mainly loose tenons for my joinery
