A neighbor wanted a chalice to give to a friend that is a cancer survivor. All his buddies were going to sign it for his birthday. He liked this piece of Texas Pecan and I hope his friend does as well.

Really lovely piece of work, and the wood is great. Your neighbor will love it.

Bob - love the form and the details at the top of the stem! Very nice! Beautiful wood and finish! I am sure once it is signed and presented - it will be a treasured keepsake! Seriously nice work!

Nice work! Great story, too. Details are pleasant, wood features are nicely used, too. Lovely to look at, and I'll bet it's nice to the touch as well.

The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle; the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true!

Question: Is your chalice the one? :p

Good looking piece!

I hope he fills it with champagne and has a toast to his friend, and to his life! Well Done! Phil

My friend Peter Hawkins gave me the wood for this piece and he just called to correct me that this is Cedar Elm, not Pecan.
