Need replacement bags for Delta DC-850 - where to buy?

It's time to replace the original 30 micron bags on my 10 year old 850. Love to go with a cyclone but it's not in the budget.

Where did you buy 1 micron bags for your 850? Diameter is 20 inches, top height is 38 inches. Bottom bag is 30 inches tall.

I've looked at the Penn site but can't seem to find the right match and my google-fu skills have pulled up nothing. An email to Penn has not had any reply.

definately recommend american fabric filter. I have bought bags for several different collectors from them and have been more than pleased. My current ones (2) fit over 55 gal. drums and are 10feet tall.

I have the same DC, and replaced the 30 micron bags with an AFF oversized top bag and a plastic replaceable bottom bag. I used a length of galvanized conduit bent 90 degrees to support the oversized top bag and mounted it using a wooden bracket to the same area the original bag hanger. Performance improvement of the unit was dramatic - I went from having fine dust everywhere with the 30 micron bags to a much, much cleaner shop. American Fabric Filter is highly recommended.

+1 for AFF. Made a world of difference on my smaller Delta (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=97560&d=1222397165). Go with the biggest bag your space will allow. Mine (after a short neck to clear the motor that it turned out I didn't need) was about 24" by 66". This allowed me to replace the lower 30 micron bag with a solid bag.

Mine is only 5 years old, so I decided to upgrade by discarding the bags in favor of the canister up top, and plastic collection bags below. There may be a slight increase in CFM, but the main reason for the switch is to make the chip bag dumping process a little easier. With the plastic collection bags, I can just release the clamps, fold the top of the bag, tie it off and off to the dump. But I will have to find an alternate to the clear plastic bags, as these babies are a little pricey. Over $20 for 5 bags. Ouch.

I believe I have the same dust collector and went with a canister. I still have the original dust bag which didn't have much use when I bought the DC second hand. I've hosed it down to clean it and its currently not in use. Your welcome to it if you'd like it.

Well, after all was said and done I bought some replacement 1 micron Delta bags from Amazon on sale. Their construction was quite cheap but they seemed to work OK. Now, after one year of home shop use the bottom bag is pulling apart at the seams and puffing dust. I'll try running with the top bag only and a plastic bag on the bottom and see what happens. Just in case someone else is searching.

FWIW, and this is just my humble opinion here. Forget the bag, go grab a Wynn filter for the upper and shove a plastic lower on it...
