Hello All,

I have a very old house with a basement floor that could be represented with a topographical map. I will have a series of at least two benches that I want to set to be level and with each other and need something heavy duty. I saw these at Woodcraft's site (see link and pic below), and they seem fine, but if anybody has something they really like, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

The foot pad is 2" in diameter.

file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/AUTUMN%7E1/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-3.jpgI use these from rockler, I think they are almost the same as what you've pictured. I love em and have just bought another set for a massive RAS stand. http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=2053&filter=levler
I currently use a set of 4 (one on each corner) of my Table saw/router center which is a behemoth of a cabinet.

How about T-nuts and threaded rod...assuming a wooden leg.

Know of anyone that works for Xerox installing equipment?? A friend I met through rescue brought me a bunch of these feet they use on the big equipment. When they change out equipment, they have to use new feet, and these get thrown away. (Picture on post 10 here: http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?p=777799#post777799 ). The large end, 4 1/2" diameter, has a textured ring that keeps it from sliding. The small end is about 1 3/4" diameter. I had to drill holes in it to run screws through for mounting, but they are very heavy duty. Adjust from 2 1/8" to 4 1/4" in height. One side has a coarse thread for quick adjust, the other end has fine thread for final adjustment. And the price was right. FREE!!:D Unfortunately my friend is retiring in the next month or so. But check your local Xerox big equipment dealer. Maybe the guys in the warehouse can save some for you for some refreshments. Jim.

Dean,

Not sure of your various legs on your items you are trying to level, but I would highly recommend looking at McMaster-Carr. http://www.mcmaster.com (http://www.mcmaster.com/)

They have a multitude of different levelers that will handle up to 43,000#'s!

They ship faster than anyone I have ever seen and their customer service is great.

I am not affiliated at all with McMaster, just order from them about once a week for work.

I'll second Mcmaster-Carr, they sell almost anything you can think of, and then some. Excellent shipping

I use the same ones from Woodcraft (and numerous other suppliers). They're super easy to attach/install, easy to adjust over a large range, and very solid. I can't think of a reason to look further, except to find something more pleasing cosmetically, as these are admittedly pretty industrial-looking.
