Got a little shop time in today --- made a few pefume atomizers and some toothpick holder key rings. When I get this Mar 21 -23 Craft Show over the rest of the summer is going to be dedicated to FLAT stuff. I have a back-up list as long as my leg. Also might get some chill-out time.

Ken,

Your work looks great as usual. I wonder how it would look if you did it sober.

Ken,

I like the variety of shapes you made for the perfume atomizers. I don't think I see any two alike. ;)

A while back, you said that you were attending a craftsperson's club meeting. What was the name of that group and do you know if there are any chapters in central NC? If our company craft sale goes well, I'm going to want to explore other venues. Your group sounds like an excellent way to network with fellow crafters. Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Bob Janka
just 4 more days before the NCSU Craft Center reopens!! Yippee!

Bob,
It is the North East Alabama Craftsmans Association. Must be a resident of Alabama to be a member. No chapters anywhere else. If I can help in anyway though just e-mail me at ken@klsal.com

Great assortment. I've made the toothpick holders, but not the atomizers. Just curious as to what kind of wood the gray one is.

Actually the artifical light is playing tricks on the color- believe it ot not it is a piece of walnut sap wood. I don't know why it looks like that in the pic.

Wonderful assortment. I'll bet you have a sell out at the show. Good luck.

Ken,
Great looking stuff.

Quick question: I've turned some double key rings in the past, but the release mechanism came apart in almost every one -- even after tightening the set screw :-( Do you have any failures with these kits? Are you using the Berea kits?

Oops I guess that's two questions...

Thanks,
Randy

Yes -- Berea kits. I always apply a SMALL drop of superglue on the inside edge of the brass tube before inserting the screw ferrel. Never had a failure!

I'll try that next time and I'll give the Berea kits a try as well.
