Featherboards for bandsawing

Looking to try cutting some veneer. David Marks rigged up some stacked 2 x 4's with featherbords on one end, clamped to the table on the other end.

Anybody come up with anything that works for this.

I haven't found a lot of need for featherboards as long as there's a flat face and bottom on the workpiece. What I do use are foam push blocks like these:
