I have been working on this project for several months and have finally hit the home stretch. I learned how to veneer and have had allot of fun. New Drum Sander and Pin Nailer - Bonus .

As you can see, I had to stretch the flaming birch after sanding and trimming tear-out I was a little short on the width so I decided to improvise, hence the racing strip.

This plan is from Woodsmith.

Thanks for looking.

Beautiful!

What kind of glue did you use for veneer?

Tightbond III. The veneer is flaming birch and is about 1/16th thick over popular. The top is over plywood.

Nicely done.. I struggle somewhat with veneering or it may just hate me... whichever the case. :)

Great job. The danger of learning veneering is figuring out how to stop. It sure opens up a lot of design options you just cant do with solid stock.
