Dupont Plane?

Found and old smoothing plane that was my grandfathers. It says Dupont on it and is made in the USA. anyone have any info on these?

I am of no use for information on that plane, but I would suggest posting a picture of it. Also add some description. Is it wood? Any patent or mfg markers?

Good luck on the plane. I too am in the middle of a plane restoration of a great grandfathers hand plane. It is very cool to have an heirloom like this come down through the family and actually be appreciated :)
