I remember a year or so ago that Grizzly had in their catalog what was called a "Branding Stamp". It was an iron that you plug in to an outlet and burned your name into your woodworking project so you can sign your work. They were I believe either custom made with your name, or came with letter inserts so that you could create your own stamp, I can’t remember which.

Anyone know where I could get a tool like this?

i believe woodcraft sells branding irons.on sale every now and then.

Mine came from Rockler. These are quite common and easily sourced...

Lee Valley has both the electric one and the heat em up type.

Ditto Rockler.

It's nothing more than a large soldering iron and the tip is threaded so you can change the brand if you like (and if you want to pay for another nameplate).
