Hey any one out there I just turned on the laser to do some work.
Nothing the head moves just like it is cutting but no laser.
I need some help from all of you experts out there!!

Sounds like no beam. There are a bunch of reasons for this ranging from (at the good end) misalignment so your beam isn't leaving the cone to a stuffed laser unit.
Happened to me and I got sorted for the price of a capacitor on this thread:

Good luck with it. What sort of machine do you have?

I had this happen once and it was caused by one of the tiny magnets coming out of its spot. Being magnetic, it just stuck itself NEXT to where it was supposed to be, so it didn't look wrong. But it kept the laser from firing since it thought the door was open. I superglued it back in place.

Hope your problem is as simple to fix!

cheers, dee

You have a Universal, correct?

I assume it has an interlock switch on the door. Perhaps check the interlock switch/harnesses. Do you have a "door open" indicator LED?

Go into maintenance mode and see if the beam will fire using a manual trigger. (Probably the beam alignment procedure requires you to be able to this.)

yes I have a universal and it started up on its own, after shutting the machine down and then back up, I do need to find out why. I don't need this to go down in the middle of a job. Good reason for 2 or more machines.
thanks for all your input I will investigate all your avenues!
