I couldn't do 13,15,18,19,20

Here is what I came up with for #13: http://fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=4054776

#15 has me stumped too!

(I ought to be learning Sketchup!)

Karl Brogger

Well now I can't get just #18 & #20, Just did number 13. I made basically a front end loader. two motors going forward, one backwards on the back. Inertial slipped the "load" on top of the ball and pulled the ball back a bit.

Some of these are really tough. Apparently I was at it for 3 hours. Time to go to bed. Thanks Dennis..........

The tube one has me totally baffled.

Hints are on their forum.

Be sure to zoom out to see if you can toss and bounce off of something solid off screen.

Building tank treads helps. Tying two or more turning wheels together (with water rods at all four attachment points) increases the power output.

Yes, I wasted several fun hours on this.

I got past the tube by building a cart that drives up the sides with enough outward force to keep the wheels on the walls. Handling was a challenge, I made a cart that laid it back then tipped it up.

I am on the last two.

that was fun, I had my two boys looking over my shoulder giving that site kudos.

You can place spikes on a conveyor belt.

I found this about 2 months ago and got some of my friends hooked on it. One of my other hobbies is video games, and I consider Fantastic Contraption to be one of the hands-down best puzzle games ever made. I even bought the full version (just $10) so I could make my own levels and play levels that other people make. The free content that is available (levels 1-20) is already great, and I decided to support the developers of the game by purchasing the full version. Best money I have spent on video games in a long time.

Did the site go down? I can't get to the game site no matter what I try. I keep getting the "cannot find that site " page.

OK...here's a simple solution for The Tube puzzle:

Hey, that one was EXCELLENT! I love it. I played this game a couple months ago and recall building a maching to crawl over all the stuff and then hurled the thing into the goal box.... :)

Finally, I beat the "The Tube", and "Unimpossible". I whistled through the other ones, but just couldn't wrap my head around those two. Unimpossle required a catapult, and a whole mess of linked up motors. The tube took a couple hours, at least..... Some problems definetly take a certain mindset to solve.

I'm still having fun with this. I've gone back through to see how I can solve the puzzle using the smallest number of elements possible. Many can be done with one, two or three pieces.

Like this (http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4393950). Also, many of the fastest solutions are when using a catapult (http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4315702). Press 'T' when the game is running to see a time display. Next you can try for gravity powered (http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4218508) solutions.

Note: there were problems with the site last weekend (Nov 14-16) while they were changing servers. It all seems to be working better now... although the traffic on the site seems to be increasing daily.

Thanks (and curses) to Dennis for pointing this out to us.

Breaks the rules, the water rods went through the ground!

Like this (http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4393950).

Yes, it's good to do it with two pieces. I did it with one. (http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4276574) :D:)

Here's another good one. Level 7 with two elements (http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4312349). It looks kind of like a crippled snail, but it does the job.

Level 12 with 5. (http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4253115)

and many more.

Thanks (and curses) to Dennis for pointing this out to us.

Indeed!

I'd say he found an exception to the rules. I did notice that it is possible to throw the ball through a wood, but couldn't find any way to take advantage of it.

When in doubt, just wrap more duck tape around it. This (http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4435588) is the ugliest solution I have done.

I haven't been able to make an elegant selection for that one. This one (http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4472341)with 13 elements is the best I've been able to come up with. It uses lots of repetition with a highly random interaction (AKA luck), but it works.

Up and over the wall

This one (http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4311806)has just two elements and is satisfying.

My first solution for 4 Balls - http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4278691. It's reliable, but a little wobbly. My second solution - http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4278691 - is very quick, plus the "conveyor belt" allows fine tuning for each ball. Both still have quite a few parts though...
