Well, it's fall time here in Tx and the temps around 70-75 degrees. Time to start the clock project without the sweat running down my bald head. I picked up a little quarter sawn White Oak from Clarks (doesn't look like its all qrt sawn) a couple weeks ago. I don't have a mortise machine, but I do have a brand new Dowelmax. Boy is it nice. Just need to remember to clean out the holes after drilling and before glueing.:( I used all dowel joints for the sides and the face frame and will use it for the door. Here are a couple of poor pics of the start of this project and if things go well tomorrow, I will post some more of "Norms Tall Case Clock". I have always wanted to build a clock and a rocking chair so the chair is in the future spring time.
