Red Palm

Has anyone turned Red Palm? I saw it online and looked interesting but didn't know how it turned.

I have some, but black palm is more interesting. That being said I don't care for either it is stringy and imho does look very nice.

to turn sucessfully, you shold use very sharp tools. Palm has a very soft light colered wood containing the red or black "stringy", very hard stuff. It is very much prone to tear out. I used it one time, and used my 80 grit turning tool to shape it. NOT FUN. People seeem to like it, that object was the first to sell at my retail outlet. Good luck whatever you decide. :eek::):)
