This is the second year I have made a Morris recliner for a local auction(third I've made overall) and thought it would be good to share some pics with you. I recall seeing a thread about Morris projects so here is mine.

I have used the same style and I used recycled lumber from crates and pallets sent from Peru. This is Santos Mahogany and I spent lots of time milling and selecting grain but couldn't tell color until I did the finish. I used Daly's Seafin Teak oil--seven coats to 1000 wet and dry paper.
Last years chair sold for $1200 in the silent auction and this year's entry will be in the live auction. Hope it does even better. The auction is sponsored by the local Dental society and proceeds will help fund local "Access To Care" programs. I also have lots of toothpicks left over in case they need them as well. Comments/ suggestions please JCB.( I need help on how to post pics )
