I have a table mounted drill press that weighs about 100lbs. I have it mounted to a piece of 3/4 ply that clamps to a counter running across the back of my garage. I infrequently need to move the drill press to access storage behind the drill press. The drill press does not move easily.

I am looking for a suggestion that would make this plywood base easier to move. Anyone aware of low profile bearings or castors that might solve this problem

I ended up putting my drill press on an old table with castor wheels on the bottom. If you do this, be sure to get some locking castors. Also, three wheels can be better than 4 if you have an unlevel floor.

I just purchased a set of portable shelves from Sam's made by NSF. Commerical grade shelves. Each shelf is rate at 600 lbs and it has 6 shelves. The specs do say however the weight rating does not apply if the castors are on them. I bough the set for $100, It does come with the ability to be 2 3' shelves, the shelves themselves are 4' wide. I will be picking up a 2nd set of shelves. The first set holds 90% of my non-sheet lumber.....
