Hi to all,
My first use of decaying persimmon. Machined well. Top is spalted walnut and finished with lacquer. Have a great day.

Outstanding, Chris! Great contrast between the species and the spalting/"decay" is wonderful on this piece. One of a kind.

Very neat, Chris! :) Never heard of such a thing, though I imagine it's much like the other spalted species, right? Where does one even get such a flavor of wood? Heck, now that I think about it, I'd never seen spalted Walnut, either! Cool!

Very nice Chris. I just got some persimmons and it’s nice to turn, with the exception of the smell. P. U. It keeps the wife out of the shop. :D

Chris,
Don't get me wrong, I love the wood but the joinery totally blew my socks off! You couldn't get a hair in between the mitered corners!

But I was impressed with the used of the spalted woods. You gotta love nature at it's best.

Nice work!
