source for partial sheets of laminate

Any ideas on where I can buy a partial sheet of laminate (formica, wilsonart, etc)? I used this on my router table top and it worked great but I need to replace it and now everyone wants me to special order a 4x8 sheet at the minimum.

The two options I was given were 1. A local custom cabinet shop, 2. someone else who was in the same boat and bought a full sheet (like me). The BORG has them on the shelf for around $50 (usually; around here they all do anyway).

sf bay area. I checked home depot (2 of them) and both required laminate to be ordered.

Collect a bag full of their samples, and glue them up for a fun look. :eek:

Seriously, since color may not be an issue, if no cabinet makers or kitchen refacers nearby to give you scraps, try e-bay, craig's list, and freecycle.

Picked up scraps and left-overs from cabinet shops---sometimes free.
Found larger pieces at supplier to the cabinet-making trade. In my area that's Wurth Wood Group, an east coast chain. I paid $0.25-0.50 on the dollar for less than full sheets or a sheet with a tear or broken corner.
Just ask at the counter, tell them you're doing a small job and are flexible on color. Wurth counterperson sent me out to the shop to talk to their cutter, who had something that fit my needs.

I just bought a full sheet at Lowes for $44.
If you have Lowes in your area, maybe try them. Use the extra for drill press table, outfeed table, or save for future replacement.
