Anyone have the laguna "retro-fit fence"

I'm looking to buy the "retro-fit" fence laguna offers for the 12" robland j/p combo. The existing fence has some issues I don't like, and I want to upgrade to something really solid. Has anyone used this before? I'm wondering what sort of impact it has on changing from jointer to planer and how much better it really is. The laguna forums don't seem to have a lot of discussion going on, so I was hoping someone here would chime in.

From discussing it with laguna, it's a good upgrade, but I was looking for the other side of the story if there is one.
