I have a friend I met though a Home Theater forum years back, that's interested in getting into a bit of woodworking, he lives in Houston and is basicly starting with little knowledge and little equiptment.

He does have a Craftsman radial arm saw that's needs a lot of TLC and a new top.

Anybody in the Houston area that maybe can cut this for him, we think a decent grade of 3/4" plywood would work?
Also he's looking for places like Rockler or Woodcraft in the area?

He expects to pay a fair price for the plywood and having it cut btw.

Can anybody help?

There are two woodcraft locations in Houston and a Rockler also.

Places to look for wood are

Houston Hardwoods:
www.houstonhardwoods.com

Masons Mill & Lumber

Clarks hardwood

He could go to Houston hardwoods with the size he wants and get a nice piece of 3/4" stock 4'x4' ply and they would cut it down to size for him for a few bucks.
