Just wired in my 1.5meg DSL modem. After recanoidering phone service and long distance, I pay a buck less per month.
Hardwired for the desk top and wireless for the laptop.
Now Jim and Chris are all over me at lightening speed.
Go for it if you can, great with down loading pix.
Now if SMC would just fire up there servers a little, this would be heaven.:D :D

Good deal, Tyler. High speed access is something you'll never want to loose once you have it.

But be sure you are protecting yourself. A hardware router/firewall (likely you have if you have a wired LAN for the desk and wireless for the notebook) is essential as well as a software firewall, such as ZoneAlarm or ZoneAlarm Pro. This is in addition to regularly updated virus protection, regularly upsdated operating system (both can be automated) and some form of scum-ware detection and elimination, such as Ad-Aware, PestPatrol, etc. (multiples get more stuff) I wish I had a nickle for ever little thing these applications catch for me...I'd have enough for a very nice combo machine by now!

TYLER, Old Buddy,

Welcome to the SPEED Zone! When I visit family and have to use dial-up service, man does it feel Slow!

You're gonna love it, and you don't tie up a phone line, so you can order your Toyls online and over the phone at the same time! Thinkof the time savings you'll enjoy while spending all your hard earned cabbage outfitting your shop with the latest TOYLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I've been feeling lucky recently. Since we got our new computer, I've been connecting via dialup at 45.2k.

Even via dailup, I'm getting hack attacks that Norton is stopping.

That's great news. Now you can get to all that "wood porn" so much faster. :D :D :D

I have cable service. Can't get DSL - too far from the CO.
