Hello,

I recently purchased a 2002 Laguna TS table saw which came with the OEM Biesemeyer fence. It so happened that the rails supporting the fence was cut in half. After a welding job, the rails seem to be correctly patched but I still would like to restore the paint where the welding was done.

Any ideas on the type of paint to use and whether someone could share the exact color; my fence is the original Biesemeyer color.

Thanks for any pointer,
Sam.

Sam -

I would just take the rails to a Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore paint dealer and get a computer reading made from the original paint. Surely they would have a similar enamel spray can color.

I would also just mask off the welded area and cover the good paint completely away from the overspray of the can. Just paint the patch area....

If it is the front rail that the fence rides on, I would put a decent quality 48"+ straight edge across the rail to ensure that it is straight. If it isn't straight, it will plague you forever.
