hi everyone at sawmill creek

ive been lurking around for a month or so looking at all the outstanding pieces that other have made. the people on here are a wide variety from beginner to master.
i have been doing woodworking and construction work for 35 yrs but dont place myself much above the beginner when it comes to woodworking.
any way here is a church mantel that another congreation member and myself built for a new addition on our church. between the two of us were pretty happy with the way things turned out.
i purchased a carvewright cnc in july and this is one of the first big project that i have done with it.
the two side legs and the board between the legs are all done with the carvewright. 14 hrs of carve time not counting the piece i threw away that we didnt like.
the legs are fluted with praying hands carved on the top of these
the piece between is fluted with the name of our church carved in between.
i really like this carvewright machine and have had really good luck with mine. its an addition to anyone woodworking tool selection without breaking the bank.

any comments welcome

thanks

That is beautiful. I sure would like to add a CNC to my shop.

Beautiful. The praying hands are delicate and inspirational. The church members are probably very grateful for the time, treasure, and talent that you put into completing this. I've been reading a bit about CNC machines. Out of my budget range, but I sure am impressed enough to keep my sights on one in the future, somewhere.
