I would try Peachstate Lumber in Kennesaw. They have whatever you need and are really nice to deal with. http://www.peachstatelumber.com/home.html this is their home page and I am also putting a link to a post I did of some pics I took when I stopped by the other day. http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=93674&highlight=wood+drool. I hope this helped.

There's always a lot of reclaimed stuff on CL - check for beams which can be milled down to the sizes you need.

Look at some WW mags in the back in classified.. There used to be a guy somewhere here in Georgia that reclaimed heart pine and specialized in it. I saw his ads for years but don't have a lot of snooping time anymore so.. I can only assume from the many years I saw them he is still doing business?

Sarge...

in L'ville..

depending on how far you can travel, or if you happen to have a contact in mississippi, there's a guy down there selling new lumber from old growth trees that have gotten topped in recent hurricanes. his info is under 'AA restoration', name is andy adams, google will turn him up, he's in waveland.

price he gave me for F&S was 5 dollars a board foot, you choose your own dimensions from a squared log.

I use J&M Hardwoods in Dalton. They usually have great prices, but I haven't recently bought any heart wood pine from them so you will have to check.....they also deliver.

good luck,
