A local seller on Craigslist had some exotic wood for sale, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to get some stock of some woods I've never worked with before. I normally work with domestics such as walnut, maple, cherry, & oak, and I can assure you none of the following pictures are those woods.

Apparently the seller got this wood from an estate sale and wasn't sure of all the species either. Most of what they had was thin stock and some cut offs and a piece or two of something, so I picked through and got this bunch.

Could you all help me identify them? The only ones I'm sure of are the bubinga slabs. I think I might try my hand at resawing some of this stock into veneers this winter.

First pic looks like 2 pieces of cocobolo with a piece of ziricote in the middle.

#3, #9 African Mahogany? You're sure #4's not walnut?

Scott, I agree and I'm glad I got a hold of it! It's hard to come by. Any suggestions on what to do with it would be appreciated.

Mike, you're winning for sure. Winning what, I'm not sure but thanks for helping! :p I clarified the first picture too, #14 is flanked by #1 and #13.

My camera is distorting the colors slightly (I had bad light each of the two times I took pictures, it's too dark too early and gets light too late!), so I could see why you might think #4 is walnut but I doubt it. If I remember right it's a heavy dense wood.

So far this is what you guys have suggested:
1 - jatoba, cocobolo
2
3 - african mahogany
4 - possibly walnut - not any walnut I've worked with though
5 - bubinga
6 - bubinga
7 - bubinga
8 - bubinga
9 - african mahogany
10
11
12
13 - paduk
14 - ziricote

Thanks for the input!

#4 looks to me like Bolivian Rosewood, aka Caviuna. It would be heavy and very hard.
