Just a few days ago I finished my third Infill, once again machined from solid steel, with a Norris-type adjuster, this time the angle is 50°.
As I always enjoy reading the reports and looking at the pictures of other woodworkers....here are some pictures of the few hours I can spend in my little workshop:

After milling and grinding the steel body, my task was to build the wooden infill:

building the infill tote (http://www.hobel-und-eisen.de/holz/griffherstellung.htm)
And here are the other planes I build before:

That sure must be a lot of work machining the body from a solid block of steel. Are you using a manual or a CNC milling machine?

What wood is the infill, it looks like Paduak?

The body was machined on a traditional milling machine, but not by myself, because I have no access to such machines and I donīt like working with metal. It was enough to shape the contour of the body with a hacksaw and files and I changed the anlge from 45° to 50° by hand with a file, this alone took a few hours.
The wood I used for the infill was Padouk. I applied two times shellac rubin and finished with oil.
