My first post

I thought I'd say hello, and put up a picture of the burl I have on my lathe. I've turned the outside, and stabilized the voids and checks with West Epoxy, and put a first finish coat on the outside. Tomorrow I'm going inside ! I thought I'd show you all first, in case it blows up in my face.

there's no point in bagging this burl, It's been dry for 35 years ! I harvested it already dry in Vermont, and have been schlepping it around in a box most of my life. I basically forgot about it, and found it last week by accident.
