FS: Gasoline, $1.99, Southwest Ohio (Not mine)

CNN has a report that gas is $1.99 in Cincinnati. And GasBuddy.com says its close to the 2-teens in Toledo which is where I buy most of my gas. Makes my $2.38 on Saturday seem downright high. Who'd have thought? I'm sure it has nothing at all to do with next Tuesday. :rolleyes:

My son plays youth hockey in Cincinnati, and I can tell you gasoline in quite low in Cincinnati compared to my hometown in Indiana. Last week I purchased gasoline at a Meijers for 2.09 a gallon while it was still 2.59 cents a gallon in Indiana. There have been aticles in the newspaper that Indiana taxes gasoline differently than Ohio, I think its an excuse for retailers to kep prices high for a long as they can. Fuel Oil is the same problem, my home is heated with #2 fuel oil and last winter I paid 4.00 a gallon for oil when oil was selling for 140.00 a barrel. Last week I called about the prices of fuel oil from the retailer I usd last year (remind you that oil is selling on the market for a little over 60.00 a barrel) I was told #2 fuel oil was still 3.99 a gallon!!! I then called a company I use to use in Ohio and I was told their oil was 2.79 a gallon! There is no constistany in the market today.

It's not dropping nearly as fast here. I filled up Saturday at $2.99, today it's $2.97.

Don't feel bad. Diesel is still $3.32 here, gas is about a dollar less though. My gas beater pickup wouldn't start this morning. I'm pretty sure the starter took a crap.

Hey guys!!! I hate to rub it in, but my son had hockey pratice tonight and I passed a BP gasoline station in Hamilton, OH right off 127/state route 4 and I paid listen to this..........1.99 a gallon!!! There were 3 stations in the city that had it set for 1.99 a gallon. The cars were backed out to the road waiting to pump gas! After paying over 4.00 a gallon for gasoline I NEVER thought I would see for under 2.00 again.

It's funny, but there was a cartoon here that showed a husband coming through the door bragging that gas was less than $2 bucks a gallon, and the wife said "that's nice, but the bank is here to repo the car".

Sad but true in today's economy.

Just drove past $1.97 per gallon in Central, VA.

I was just telling someone today that I had a discussion about 8 weeks ago, saying that I thought I'd never see $2.00 gasoline again in my lifetime.
Going on that logic, I'll start my next mission....
