I am saddened to hear that Porter Cable is going to be BDK's low end line. I know that it has been discussed at length on this forum. But my question is will they still make the 690 router to the same specifications?
I am a woodshop teacher and I love the 690. I own 2 and over the years I have purchased 3 for various schools I have worked at. The 690 is simple and built very well, excellent router for learners.
I am wondering if they will take it off the line or release a low quality version. What is going to happen to their larger routers and dovetail jigs?
I loved PC tools and I hate to see this happening. I even have a PC baseball cap, now I would not want to be seen in it.
