trying to find 1/8 inch walnur dowels. any one know of a source? or some way to cut down larger dowels. thanks

What length do you need.
If they aren't too long you might find a local turner to turn them for you.

I have seen a 1/4" steel plate with various sized holes drilled through it. You cut a square strip of wood and drive or pull it through. Dowels can also be made with multiple cuts through a router; 1/8" may be kind of difficult.:cool:

I have a Lie-Nielsen dowel plate that I used to make dowels, works pretty good, kind of along the lines of the steel plate suggestion, except on steroids.. Not a tool you use every day, but very handy..
