Anybody ever buy veneer from this vendor (not affiliated)?

www.joewoodworker.com

If not, what veneer vendors do you recommend?

I haven't bought from joewoodworker. I get veneer from www.certainlywood.com, from B&B Rare Woods (http://wood-veneers.com/), and from Ebay. There's a surprisingly large market in veneer on Ebay. Just search with the keyword "veneer". I've had good luck with a seller whose handle is trouge.

Waymon, I haven't bought veneer from him, but did buy all the parts for my veneer press (and glue). Shipping was fast and when I had a question I e-mailed him and had an answer in about 2 hours. Joe came highly recommended from the owner of my local woodcraft.

I bought some very nice curly maple from joewoodworker.com. Very pleased with the transaction. It is a small operation, so "joe" is easy to get a hold of and even followed up to make sure the veneer had gotten to me unharmed. I'd recommend him.
