This is a piece of Koa that I bought. When I got it I saw some curl in it, but never dreamed it would be this beautiful. It measures 6-15/16" by 1-15/16" by 3/16, Ifinshed with several coats of tung oil and than buffed with wax. This is the 423rd bowl I've done

Absolutely beautiful bowl Frank! Curly is an understatement - more like tiger striped - sure is impressive! Great form, rich color and really like the undercut rim! Very nice work!

Excepitonal Frank, very well done indeed. I got a piece of Koa and there was not much curl in it but a lot of red and blonde shimmer . The rim is perfect.

Very nice bowl. The KOA is beautiful wood and the form is great as well. I hope you where able to core a small piece of that wood out.

So many stripes in that bowl I think I'd have to eat frosted flakes out of it because 'They're GRRRRREEEEAAATTT."

Seriously though, Very nice.

Thank's everyone, I've always liked that general shape. I put the under cut rim on most of my bowls. I'm going to post another piece of Koa that I did, I really did a under cut on that one.
