I got a DeWalt 13" planner for Christmas and have not had a chance to really use it - wife's got me tied up in melamine! :rolleyes: I have been working on some Kitchen cabinets with my Brother-In-Law and processed about 90 feet of Birch. I just finished the thickness planing - Oh My G...! I was using the slower speed to see what kind of finish it produced. Why they they have a faster "finish speed" is beyond me! :confused: Honestly, the surface felt like it had been lacquered! The sucker is loud but there is not such thing as "a free lunch." I'm one happy camper! :D

Congrats Byron. I can't imagine having a power tool for that long and not coming up with some excuss to use it. You have excellent control. What to go and have fun.
