hi all

last weekend i stumbled into a pile of wood. 4x4, 6x6, 8x8 inch beams. some of it upto 16 feet long. all of it old and dry. some pine, oak, chestnut?, one 10x10 heart pine beam. today i was out with a jack plane trying to see what all i got, and here's the gloat...for the last two hours( rather than riding bikes and scooters) my 4 and 5 year old are fighting over the plane to see who gets to make shavings next. ain't that sweet? ...and i thought the wood was a good deal.

A little early to start them "shaving", but I guess in this context it's a wonderful thing! Congrats on the wood, but more importantly, congrats on the opportunity to introduce your young ones to woodworking at an early age...and have them like it!

ha, ha...great one, Chris. My daughter loves being in the shop with me. She's obsessed with rearranging my screwdriver drawer all the time.... :D
