My local supplier started carrying veneered chipboard in oak, birch and cherry. It's priced about the same as a standard ply but I would think that it is less prone to warping. Does anyone have any experience with it? I'm thinking of using it on my next job.

Chipboard/particle board always has seemed cheaper to me. If regular plywood is the same price I would go for plywood. IMO holds screws and nails better. All sheet goods are subject to warping but good construction and design prevents that.

Just to clarify, it's not particle board. It's a plywood product but the core looks like a cross between osb and a multiply plywood.
