i was givin instructions on beam allignment of a mecury not an explorer2. there are differences.i have some questions.... how do i get into the initial laser source prompt in order for a test burn?

Push the auto-focus button when you switch the machine on, wait for it to initialize. Now use the arrows up or down to select a function.
The last one is to test fire the tube. First press enter to activate and then press start, it will fire as long as you hold the button.
You would also see that you can increase the power setting of the laser, I think the default setting is 5%.
Remember that you still need to have the lid close when you test fire the tube!
